Exclusive: Bears, Olivet close to 2010 deal

The Chicago Bears and Olivet Nazarene University have agreed in principle to a deal that will keep the Bears’ training camp in Bourbonnais in 2010, Olivet spokesman Gary Griffin said this week.

“We’ve agreed in principle to terms of contract,” Griffin said. “We just need to sit down and sign.”

Camp ending one day early

The Chicago Bears’ final training camp practice of 2009 will be held on  Thursday, Aug. 20 — one day earlier than expected, team spokesman Scott  Hagel said. The team will leave Bourbonnais on Thursday instead of Friday.

The final practice will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 20.

This Bleacher Report post leads me to believe the Bears’ secret weapon might be their receivers this year. Throw newly acquired quarterback Jay Cutler into the mix to sweep away all that other bad karma from the pocket, and we might have a good season.
